The 2 main selection criteria in deciding what POWER (kW) magnet is required for a particular application are:
– Burden carrying conveyor speed (m/s) – Operating Gap (mm) – distance from bottom of burden to the face of the magnet
From the table below please select what POWER (kW) magnet is required [Note: a permanent (perm) magnet may only be needed]
7 STANDARD ELECTRO-MAGNETS
Now, choose a magnet model from one of the 7 standard designs below: Note: numbers in brackets show the maximum allowable width of site conveyor belts, so if for a particular kW the site conveyor is larger than that mentioned in brackets, then you need to choose magnet model above that but keep the same kW rating. All these standard magnets are fan-cooled only – for oil cooled magnets please contact our sales office. Magnet names are noted by the length of each magnet’s body.
